Most chefs work their way up the brigade. Pam skipped the line. On her first service in the Kitchen she went 9–1, allowed just 4.9 points a game (the tightest defence in the field) and walked out with the crown, the first player to win the title on debut since Daveen in Course 3. Her nine wins tie the club record for a single course. John Louie has been simmering for a while: a quarterfinal in Course 5, 3rd place in Course 6, and now his first Head Chef title. Seeds 1 and 4 team up in the placement format, so the standings wrote this partnership. The final confirmed it.
Pam went 8–1 in the round robin and took the top seed on point difference (+42 to Bea's +24, after both finished 8–1). John Louie went 6–3 for the 4 seed, and that pairing went straight into the Championship.
Performance notes compiled from Course 7's match-by-match results.

Joshua went 7–1 in the round robin and took the top seed straight into the Semis. Matt went 4–4 for the 9 seed, which meant one extra game: a Quarterfinal.
Performance notes compiled from Course 6's match-by-match results.

SJ went 6–3 in the round robin and took the 4 seed straight into the Semis. Vincent went 4–4 for the 5 seed, which meant one extra game: a Quarterfinal.
Performance notes compiled from Course 5's match-by-match results.

Joshua went 6–2 in the round robin, Ian 5–2 — both finished inside the top 5 seeds without ever crossing paths before the final.
Performance notes compiled from Course 4's match-by-match results.

Carlo went 7–2 in the round robin and Daveen 6–2, with only one loss between them after Round 6. The only time they met before the Semis was Round 1: Daveen & Avdhoot beat Carlo & Bianca 10–6.
Performance notes compiled from Course 3's match-by-match results.

Both had near-identical days before they ever shared a court. Mark went 6–2 in the round robin (78 points across those games), Bianca 6–2 right alongside him (69 points) — two of only three players to finish the round robin without a losing record.
Performance notes compiled from Course 2's match-by-match results.

Mark went 8–2 across 10 games, spending most of the day (7 of 10 matches) on Chef's Table — the top court — where he finished a strong 5–2.

Pickleball is a paddle sport played on a badminton-sized court using a solid paddle and a perforated plastic ball. It can be played as singles or doubles.
The sport combines accessible rules with fast exchanges, long rallies and plenty of strategy, making it enjoyable for a wide range of ages and playing abilities.
What is pickleball? · Playing resources — Pickleball Australia
A serve is played diagonally into the opposite service court. The receiving team must allow the serve to bounce, and the serving team must also allow the return to bounce. After these first two bounces, players may volley the ball or play it after a bounce.
Common faults include hitting the ball out, hitting it into the net, allowing it to bounce twice or illegally volleying from the non-volley zone.
The organiser will explain any special format or scoring variations before play begins. Rules and scoring — Pickleball Australia
The Kitchen is the informal name for the non-volley zone beside the net. It extends 2.135 metres from the net on each side of the court.
Players cannot volley — that is, hit the ball before it bounces — while touching the Kitchen or its boundary line. It's also a fault if a player's momentum carries them into the Kitchen after hitting a volley.
Players may enter the Kitchen to play a ball after it has bounced. And yes, this famous part of the court inspired our club's name.
Traditional pickleball uses side-out scoring, meaning only the serving team can score a point. Games are normally played to 11 points and must be won by two.
In doubles, the score is called using three numbers: the serving team's score, the receiving team's score, and the server number — one or two.
Some organised formats may use different scoring systems. Always check the format being used for the event. Scoring guide — Pickleball Australia
The Kitchen Club leaderboard is based on results recorded at club social games, playoffs included. It shows sessions attended, games played, wins, losses, points, win percentage, Head Chef crowns and current win streaks.
A DUPR rating is a separate, external pickleball skill rating. It isn’t shown on our leaderboard.
A DUPR rating is not required to join The Kitchen Club or appear in our social-game results. DUPR is the official rating system used by Pickleball Australia for its sanctioned tournaments, leagues and events.
